30,000 lbs behind the Ram
Clicky The Rams time was almost exactly what I expected out of a 385 hp engine. Using the same formula the 440 HP Powerstroke should have made the run in 10.5 minutes.

Local racer uses a KW with a huge custom sleeper to tow his rail car. Licensed as an RV with "Not for hire" decals and no CDL needed.
That is because it is licenced as an RV. I am talking about regular everyday DRW pickups licences as pickups and towing a trailer with a GVWR greater than 10k. Per regulation, if it has a GCWR greater than 26k, then a CDL is required. Again, recreational vehicles are different.
Read your link. It has to be used in commerce to be considered a commercial vehicle.
Sec. 548.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:
(1) "Commercial motor vehicle" means a self-propelled or towed vehicle, other than a farm vehicle with a gross weight, registered weight, or gross weight rating of less than 48,000 pounds, that is used on a public highway to transport passengers or cargo if:
(A) the vehicle, including a school activity bus as defined in Section 541.201, or combination of vehicles has a gross weight, registered weight, or gross weight rating of more than 26,000 pounds;
Exceeds a certain weight or class and therefore, is "classified" as commercial even though it may not be commercially used or commercially owned. A weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more is always consider commercial.
