It may be higher since a lot of trailers have storage at the front. That is OK to a point if your rear suspension is beefed up with Torklift stableloads, supersprings or air bags. The more truck, the better, 1 ton is better still than a 3/4. I would never use a 1/2 ton to tow a TT unless it was all short trips.
BTW I average 14.4 this weekend on a trip that involved a mountain pass both ways. Much better than I expected. First long trip with my new (old truck), I averaged about 13.5 with my chev dually. The canopy on this truck may have made the difference. I will be taking it to Mexico in Oct with an ATV in the bed. If my mileage drops significantly I will be considering a deflector.
