Yes, yours would produce slightly more power with 91 octane by advancing the timing.
I never said the 3.5 doesn't make good power. You said the Fords 6.2 is a less of a motor than the 3.5 EB. I just threw my 5.7 in there and you started talking about gas mileage.
It appears your 3.5 gets about the same as my 5.7. Worse while towing and requires premium fuel.
I would still like to see some chassis dynos of all 3 motors. Numbers on paper mean squat.
Curious as to why the 3.5EB gets such terrible gas mileage under load if it is working at optimum torque all the time. That is why I am saying it's being strained. Usually an engine that works less/more efficiently will get better gas mileage. This is the complete opposite in the case of the 3.5EB engine.
