Good for GM.
GM had to do something for their 3500 DRW trucks. Their the least popular over on the commercial side mainly do to dealer pricing.
Also GM shot their self in the foot with this type work in the late '00 era when they derated their DRW trucks from 8500-8700 rawr down to 8200 rawr. We even had stickies on a couple of haulers webs warning O/O not to by those year model GM LDT because of their low rawr payloads (money maker payload). Many switched and didn't go back even when GM went to a uprated all new truck with a 9375 rawr.
No doubt this will go a long way towards getting perspective O/O back into this size GM truck.....and more important a increase in fleet sales.
Good move for GM ....now we will see if their dealers want to compete on pricing across the board.
