I have had people panic anytime I mention towing near capacity on my half ton. I wonder how those people feel about towing nearly 17 tons behind any pickup.
My main concern always is stopping the trailer. I have experienced issues with electric brakes on several trailers recently and have lost a lot of confidence in them. To me the safest thing is always air brakes since they are "energize to release". I wonder if electric over hydraulic would be more reliable than pure electric.
