Pontoon boat is 3500# with approx. 350# of TW.
We decided on the Torklift Super Hitch and Super Truss 36".
The reason we considered the 36" extension on a 2" receiver, is because that was what was on the previous owner's truck which had this camper on it. It was not a Super Hitch. He towed a 2 horse trailer for many years. I suspected it may not be correct because of the distance between the hitch ball and the fulcrum point .....
Not knowing what was correct and safe, is why I came to this site to ask.
YES, Grit Dog, I will be helping my friend with this project. Not sure why you thought I shouldn't?
Now, to see how many holes line up between old hitch and new hitch. Old has 3 bolts each side and new has 5.
