I do understand about perhaps not needing a 36" extension. The boat coupler would be too close to bottom of camper bumper with less than 36". My friend does not want the ball connection under the camper bumper. Concern would be up driveways at angles that are steep could cause trailer coupler/tongue to hit camper bumper. Plus, the added length will assist when launching boat.
