I lock in the cruise at 58 mph for a stress free tow. I couldn't do that with the 3.73's because the RPM's were too low to pull the load.
This is the KEY to what experienced people who tow have been preaching about with respect to tires sizes, differential gears, and transmissions.
I lock in the cruise at 55 mph, with 4.88 gears (stock) and the stock tire size, so that I can utilize all four gears of the transmission under load. And, the speed limit while towing is 55 anyway.
(I'll never understand why some people tow trailers at 75 mph).
