4 wd vs 2 wd

First of all, are you sure you need a truck?

I have been in some CG's that had a slope and pea gravel on the roads. thus backing in a TT I used my 4 wheel feature. keeps the back wheels from spinning.

NO..........my 5th wheel does do off-roading so 4wd not needed.

YES.........my Bronco went off-roading so 4wd needed

I have had 4wd for the past 20 years. On 4 different trucks. They were all new. On the first one I had to replace a 100 dollar switch once. That's it. If you live somewhere with no weather concerns and you don't off road, don't get it don't need it. If the opposite is true, I say get it for sure.

If you have a 2wd truck they will kick you out of Texas.

There are several 2WD or 4x4 threads running now...check them out

AWD is all wheel drive and typically only one speed transfer case
4WD can be AWD or 4x4
4x4 typically has a 2 speed transfer case. Some full time, others part time
FWD is FRONT wheel drive, not necessarily 4x4

If you have to ask...don't get it...you'll know when you want/need it
