It's a personal choice plain and simple. I have been tow / camping for 30+ years. I have had 4x4 vehicles, and have one now. but have NEVER needed one for towing, And yes boys, and girls. I park my TT down a hill on grass. It has always came out. Never understood the getting stuck on wet grass thing. I guess it's possible though.
at any rate. You really don't need 4x4 for towing, and in fact it will lower your tow capacity. But you may need it for playing.
