my 2010 GMC 1500 crew cab 4wd 5.3 towing 6800-7000 will go up a 7% grade at 60 mph at 4100 rpms, probably all day long. I can slow to 40 and pick back up to 60 easily. you have to know your limits and be set up right. you can't tow 10000 with high geared rear and old style trans and old style engine.
