The Raptors are specifically designed for off road and on road driving. Their suspensions have much more travel than a tow truck needs.
And with large diameter rubber, the Raptor's bed is very high. Most fifth wheel trailers wouldn't be tall enough to clear the tall bed of the Raptor.
You may as well get ready to put up with turbocharged 6 cylinder engines on trucks. The new 2015 Expedition is EcoBoost equipped, and it's supposed to be a far superior vehicle to the Tahoes, Escalades or Suburbans with 5.3 or 6.2 motors.
The completely new SuperDuty is coming in 2017, and it's also going to be 100% aluminum bodied. Look for the EcoBoost to be in it standard.
