My 1969 Avion listed for $4,500 in 1969. My grandfather paid around $3,000 for it. That was a lot of money in 1969.
I bought it from him around 1983. In 2012 I rebuilt it and it cost me around $10,000 for the rebuild. It should last another 50 years.
