I had very high hopes for the 2014 Dodge Durango with the 8-speed transmission and the Hemi. Mechanically, it is perfect for my needs. But the body doesn't work--it is relatively narrow compared to other full-sized vehicles, with a much narrower interior than my Pilot. We like to camp with our 3 medium-sized pooches, and one of them must be crated when traveling to prevent her from jumping into the driver's lap at speed. Unfortunately, the narrowness precludes a crate with enough room next to it for another dog with dog bed.
