Mar 06, 2017I'm not debating that a 4WD could've possibly been helpful for that one time I lost control, but that happened once in over 300,000 miles. After negotiating hundreds of similar turns in similar conditions, it's looking like there's a pretty remote chance of it happening again. I have a better chance of dying in a car crash. I'd be better off investing in a Hans device, fire suit, and a 5 point harness. A 4WD may provide more control, but I've seem to do just fine in my 2WD. It's really not that hard to adjust for adverse road conditions. I've driven on plenty of snow, ice, and water covered roads and I still have a clean record. Could a 4WD be helpful? Maybe, but I don't find a need for one. YMMV.
