4X2 or 4X4 for towing and general use...what say you?

OP, as you can tell, the replies are mixed. Really boils down to where you live and where you camp/boat. I see plenty of 2wd vehicles launching boats here in upstate NY, but vast majority of trucks are 4x4's due to the snow. If you ever decide to venture to ski areas or get into snowmobiling, a 4x4 is the way to go. Personally, as long as I live here in upstate NY, a 4x4 will be in the driveway.
