We can't tell you if you need a 2wd or 4wd truck. Either one will work fine
I own both and made a living pulling non rv trailers with both however I will not own either one without a OEM limited slip. A 2wd truck without it for my use is as worthless as tits on a boar hog.
Also all my trucks require a all terrain type tread as my trucks pull trailers in and out of pastures (hay and cattle/horses) and muddy worksites.
