I got stuck today in my backyard with my 3/4 ton Yukon XL 2wd. Very wet and soft, my trailer tires had sunk 4" in the soft ground. When I went to hook up I felt the rear sink a bit and thought "poop, this isn't going to be good". I tried pulling the camper out and nothing, so I tried backing up and spun. Then fwd again and spun worse. I unhooked and brought over my 1/2 ton Silverado 4x4 and pulled it right out no problem.
Will I get stuck at a campground? Not sure. I do know if it's sketchy I will put down boards to back on to so I don't sink. If I could afford a new pickup I'd have it in 4X4 even though I only use it in my Silverado 3 or 4 times a year here in Wisconsin.
