Over the past 25 years I've needed four wheel drive two times while towing. One time on a moss covered boat ramp at low tide, and another time while trying to maneuver a TT into a tight spot on a hill in loose gravel. I like knowing its going to be there if I need it. About two years ago I made the mistake of trying to save a little money and bought a 4x2. Last year (not while towing) I found myself on a snowy road dreading the fact that I might have to put on chains. The next week I traded it in for a 4x4. I wont make that mistake again.
