I want to throw out one more suggestion. Contact your insurance carrier and see if a CP4 failure is covered under your current policy. That's what I did even though I had already decided to go with a 2015 GM 3500 diesel. It turned out that my insurance covered this. I explained exactly the type of failure that I was concerned about and the local agent contacted the carrier who said that was covered under my policy.
