Use the internet to find what you should pay. Go to truecar.com, kbb.com, nada.com, autotrader.com. A little research and effort on your part can yield significant savings.
For each sale made, TrueCar dealers pay TrueCar $299. Why would anyone pay close to an average price, when, by definition, it means that about half the people got a better price, maybe a much better price?
Car dealers know you use the internet. The dealer invoice has nothing to do with the cost of the car they are trying to sell you.
