I used to do that with a 235HP tbi 454, and a 185hp 6.5td in GM trucks. I would think a 300+hp 6.0 would do the trick better than these motors. As mentioned, it will need to turn some r's as it takes R's to get the HP vs a diesel....but it will get the job done. I would go with 4.10s in the axels myself. If you do a lot of driving in the 70mph range, then 3.73's. Most of my driving even empty is under 60 mph. 3.73's with a DOD are too tall for "my" kind of driving.
