I've got a 6.0 and it's been pretty good to me so far. I've done all the updates except for studding it. I also knew the rep of it when buying and can turn a wrench. As long as you're religious on maintenance and beat it like a red-headed stepchild, it should treat you well. But, you need to be prepared to work on it. When I bought it, I wanted a diesel with a straight axle. I owned one Dodge and that was enough so I chose the Ford.
