I went with the F250 this time for it's 50year old twin I-beam IFS, heavy C channel chassis, Sterling rear axle and Torqshift transmission. At 86k miles, it's still tight and rattle free. I liked the way the Ram drove better with it's car like rack and pinion steering and even the 5.7L Hemi was a beast. But ball joints and rear ends rebuilt at less than 100k miles wasn't it's high point. Although the F250 was built using union labor in Kentucky, it was over $3k less than the Mexican built comparably equipped Ram we looked at. I prefer to support union labor when possible. Even my Prius is union made. JAW. All that aside, I think you'd be happy with either truck.
