Just an update today I again test drove a ram 2500 laramie 6.4 hemi with 3.73 gears and a f-350 lariat yes 350 6.2L with 3.73 gears also. I dont really need a 1 ton but that is what the dealer had today so I drove it. Driving both the same day really gave me a good feel for both. I must say Ram wins hands down for interior fit and finish and a little more power off the line. But some will disagree with me on this one but I honeslty feel the f-350's ride was alot smoother than the Rams and that the steering response was much better. On the Ram it seems like I had to correct the steering constantly over bumps as the ford just took them and I didnt have to correct it. I also thought the fords seats were much more comfortable than Rams. Has anyone else noticed these issues or did I just drive a bum Ram today? Prices were somewhat close as the ram was 55k and the ford at 52k. The only option differences were that the ram had heated rear seats and remote start. Not sure those 2 options require a 3k higher sticker price either. I will be doing a bit more research before I purchase but as of now it looks like ford is the definite winner for me as of right now.
I do want to thank everyone here for their input on my topic as I try to make this decision as I want to make the correct one. Thanks and keep the input coming as I will do the same for you! :)
