6.4 Hemi Ram 2500 or 6.2L F-250
Ok everyone I am torn after driving them both. I like them both and they are within the same price range but which one do I step up too?!?!?!? :h I want to be in a 3/4 ton by the time camping season ...

Your usage is almost identical to mine and my TT is about 8500#. The gearing thing is overblown IMO with relatively low weights like we are towing. At 7-8K TT the 3.73 will tow just fine with the Ford or Ram. I can't imagine there is that much difference. I test drove the 6.2 and found it much less "quick" off the line than the Hemi. That was a big part of my decision.
And for the record I don't care if it is built on Mars :)
