6.7 PSD after 2 months

After owning 3 F350 Fords through the years and all with 7.3's I never had any trouble with them other than regular maintainece stuff. In Feb. I sold my last, great 02 350 and bought a 2014 F350 cc 4x4 8' bed with the 6.7 Powerstroke and all I can say is.... WOW what a truck ! The pulling power this truck has is amazing and all the electronics it has is crazy....a good crazy... I don't know if the 6.7 will ever be as reliable as the 7.3 but it sure has it beat in power.....Time will tell......PS I'm a Ford guy 100% but I could care less what anyone else drives.

  • im looking at gettin 2011 6.7 king ranch f350 after reading this i think i will just go get it and deal with dw later
  • I got to agree... My '12 6.7 Power Stroke has 42k miles and almost 2 years of ownership and it tows like a beast, makes great fuel economy and is my daily driver.

My previous truck was a '05 Power Stroke and traded it with 170k miles on the clock. It was a very enjoyable truck to own, but my 6.7 just does everything better.

I recently purchased a 7.3 Power Stroke Super Duty and dropped it off at the ranch, and that thing is a dog in comparison to the 6.7.
  • I've had my 6.7 since October and it continues to impress me daily. I've still got 7.3L Excursion and have had a '10 6.4L F350 and have driven every year Ford diesel since '86 and the 6.7L tops them all. People say, "Isn't that the way it is supposed to be?" I say "yep" and they nailed it! Now I worry because I am about to 'have' to drive a '15!!!
  • Have had mine approaching 2 yrs now. And you are so right. A great truck. I had an '07 F350 6.0 that I never had a single problem with and I thought it towed great. Amazing how much more power the 6.7 has. Tows the 5er over flat to rolling country rarely ever dropping out of OD.
And quiet to go along with the power.
  • What I have to say about that engine is they are quiet! I pulled up next to one with a tow body, and when a normal diesel truck pulls away from the stoplight, it makes noise. This truck was really quiet.

I hope your newest truck is much more quiet than the older ones.
