I want to thank those of you that have replied. It appears that when ordering a 2023 RAM 3500 SRW Crew Cab long bed that the HO upgrade is now almost $4000 more not the $2800 it was for the 2022 model year. So we have gone with the regular 6.7L Cummins Diesel.
When I look at a purchase like this I think ok I am going to spend XYZ no matter what. Now do I want the 4k option??? Is it really that much on a 80k or so truck? Is it going to make a future sale easier and for more money?
I had a 68REF DRW RAM with 3.42's, wife wanted a BIGGER RV so I ordered the same truck with the AISIN, 4.10's and HO engine. Will I get whatever the up charge was back at time of purchase? I would say yes or near so.
On edit after looking at the last few posts You should have ordered the HO for sure!!!!!!! OH and also the Factory Rear Air, you will thank me! - Me_AgainExplorer III

So where did Showme 5rv get his pricing? I do not see 2023 in the build web site. - 4x4ordExplorer III^^^ The high output is only a $2500 CAD option. Here's a screen shot from build and price on www.ramtruck.ca:

I am confused? The build site does not have 2023's and the 2022s show a 2800 difference. Is some dealer jerking someones chain?
Lol…. noooo that would never happen… - Me_AgainExplorer IIII am confused? The build site does not have 2023's and the 2022s show a 2800 difference. Is some dealer jerking someones chain?
On edit: maybe this explains it???

If the HO is now a $4000 increase vs $2800, have they made some kind of change to justify the increase? Is the HO still 420 HP/1075 lbft of torque? Still the same 6 speed Aisin? - Bionic_ManExplorerMy 2012 now has a little over 100,000 miles on it. It’s always been an extra vehicle, and I’d say over 80% of those miles are towing something. Knock on wood, it has been mostly troublefree.
I’m not in love with the 68RFE, I’d much rather have a proper 8 or 10 speed transmission, but I also don’t think it’s nearly as bad as some here make it out to be.
Congrats on the new truck. I hope you don’t have to wait too long to get it. - cummins2014Explorer

I have towed 15,500 now for over 8 years with my 2014 with the 68RFE, never missed a beat , have had number of recalls ,and a turbo actuator replacement ,but otherwise been pretty dependable .
