had my 7.3 to the dealer for Waste Gate actuator and heater fan stuck on defrost,,, $963.00 later runs like a champ. still cheaper than a new truck payment ok rant over!!

Here is another perspective. I had a '99 F350 and it was great-until year 8. Then in that year it had a blown high pressure oil line. $375 and 2 days of a trip lost. And then the transmission failed at 47000 miles while on a trip. $3500 and 5 days down. Since we then bought a heavier 5th wheel I traded for a new truck. Maybe just bad luck but I was done with it. And all maintenance was done and ahead of schedule.
And the new truck had more power stock then the chipped 7.3l.
