I'll be doing this next time I have to drain my coolant for any reason. IH used the 203 thermostat until the 96 model I believe when Ford changed it.
Make sure you get the long stem thermostat from Dieselsite vice an auto parts store 203*. Short stem won't properly close off the bypass, and has led to engine problems.
