It is hard to believe the tire manufacturers would pass up and oppertunity to increase sales over their competition or offer a more expensive tire option.

well, part of the issue is 15" and LT aren't very usefull. doing searches, trying to find a 15" LT tire good for 2800lbs is nye on impossible. 16" YES, lots, but 15" are pretty much limited to LRC, very very hard to find 15" LRD or LRE.
