Howdy folks !!New to the forum, new to trailers but not new to camping.The wife and I bought an '81 Lionel tent trailer in '09 and had fun camping with it in Manitoba, Ontario and Québec. In August 2012 we got caught by a surprise storm right in the middle of setting up the Lionel... and I decided then and there to buy a camper before our next trip.We lucked out and found a mint '78 13ft Travelaire a high school buddy of mine was selling.There is some water damage around the roof vent but I will tackle that in April or May 2013. This forum has been very instructive as to renovation and roof resealing methods.I will post pics of my efforts.In the meantime, here is a pic of our vintage TT when we bought it.And here it is ready to sleep away the winter.

Personally, I'd make sure it was covered up above and beyond the way you're planning on storing it.

I would love to see the inside of this little gem. I hope you can post some pics here soon. :)

Our first TT was a 15.5' Sunline. We loved it but was just too small for the long trips we took. DH had to sleep out in the tow van so it didn't work out.

No big scare lights or outside speakers? :B Guess back then people camped in the dark and quiet.

Does seem strange the hookups on the door side though.
Nice trailer,but need inside pics too.

It so small I bet the only place to put the converter was below the fridge.

We have an '05 Honda Odyssey with the 3L engine and the 6 spd automatic tranny.

"Titoeuf" (French slang for "small egg") has electric brakes and uses a regular 2" ball hitch.

Come spring I am bringing Titoeuf to our local TT/RV sales/service place to have the brakes checked and get them to install a brake controller and the required harness in the van as all I have now is a regular "flat four" harness for the family "junk" trailer.

Good news... my wife took a bunch of pics of the interior. Good thing 'cause the ones I took with my Blackberry are too dark. Here are the pics below.

I'm lucky that my older brother has a huge garage I can use so I can work sheltered from the elements and don't have to worry about the weather affecting my progress. I can keep my tools at hand and not worry about putting everything away at the end of the day.

Working inside will also be very useful when it comes to resealing the roof with the rubberized material I read about on the "Hilton" thread.

Interior pics

Previous owner built a wooden "railing" around the top bunk to keep his kids from falling out. We will keep this so our youngest daughter won't fall out either.

Bottom bunk

Top bunk. You can see the water damage to the ceiling.
