95 suburban engine mods

I have a 95 sub. with 70,000 miles,350 motor, and 373 gears. towing package also. The sub is doing fine on the road when no trailer, but when I hook up my utility trailer with very little weight, the power seems very low. I will be pulling a 79 Shasta 24 foot trailer. Question that I have is I want to put a rv cam, maybe headers, what ever else it needs. Will this be worth wild? I like the sub and plan on using it for several years. Im worried having throttle body will keep this upgrade from working. Please give me some help. Thanks
