97 terry hot water problem
Hi I have a 97 terry 32 foot camper with atwood mpd-91043 gas valve I replaced the thermocouple from one I bought at homedepot the pilot light stays on but as soon as you switch it to on it goes right...

Most likely the pilot light isn't set high enough to heat the element above it which keeps the gas turned on to it. reach in and gently pull it down about a1/4 inch closer to the flame, it's copper and shaped like a small pencil.
