You got a storm front to the NorthEast and another big one to the West. Looks pretty clear in the middle where you are for today. However when the sun gets up more it will heat up things up the 81 corridor and give us the high winds back. Here in Northern VA on US301 it is perfectly still outside but the WX guys are saying the winds will be back later on today...
Your route down I81/I77 looks pretty clear for now. I think you have gone to far now to backtrack any to I95... I guess I77 dumps you into Charlotte NC area... Where are you heading for in NC.... Actually SC is where you will start getting back into some milder climate again... NC will build up WX storms on you rather quick... NC full of high hill country until you get to the SC areas...
We camp out off grid alot in our OFF-ROAD POPUP camper and if you haven't planned for it, it doesn't go well haha... The first things to beef up is change over lighting to LEDs and get bigger battery bank to run small Power inverter for many hours before re-charging... A small generator is a must have item for us. Mine sits in the covered and locked tail gate corner of my truck... We run on the idea of doing what we want and need to do in the one day/night run off our batteries, then recharge the next morning when allowed to run our generator. Then we are good to go the next day/night run off the batteries.
Everything closes down here after Thanksgiving...
Myrtle Beach might be a good destination for folks willing to work in people service jobs. Lots of cheap places to camp there along the coastal area.
