A couple litte videos of my 1971 Travel Trailer with no snow

Here are a couple of videos of the interior and exterior of my 1971 Terry Travel Trailer. No they aren't anything fantastic other than there is no snow involved in these videos.

And the outside of the trailer.

  • Thanks for posting the videos. We just purchased a 71 Terry today but it's pretty tore up so we didn't know what the inside should look like. Love what you've done with yours and will defiantly use some of your ideas in ours.
  • LOVE the curtain fabric! And, hey, we have that exact same rug runner in our Keystone Bullet!
  • Nice, and you can hear the birds chirping in the background. Been awhile since I heard that sound. Looks like the original floor has probably been covered by underlayment and new vinyl put on top. I've done that myself in a older TT.
  • Wow, that brought back memories. My first trailer was a 1972 23 ft. Terry. It was a rear bath, rear entry, mid kitchen. When I bought it new in 1973 I paid $4,000 and that included the hitch welded to my truck and brake controller mounted. How times have changed, that was nine trailers ago.
  • Thanks, yes it is in pretty good shape. The next biggie is to repair the ceiling that is in not so good shape. This will be my second year with this trailer and am really liking it.

Yes I have done some upgrades.
    Replaced and flipped axles
    added a second battery
put on new fender skirts (the old ones were made out of plywood)
cut out the L part of the bench that stuck out and I kept banging my legs on it.
put down laminate flooring through out trailer
put on new counter top and sink (because I broke the old ones)
    new toilet
    new clearance and tail lights
    new propane tanks and regulator
    replaced front cushion and curtains
and put on a grey tank. This one didn't come with a grey tank.

Upgrades I'm hoping to do this spring is
replace fresh water tank with a new plastic tank. (old one is stainless steel)
replace the old metal piping from the fresh water tank with the flexible pvc piping
Thinking about adding a 100w or 2 portable solar panels just to charge up the batteries during the day.
And I think that is it.

    Thanks for looking
    Jim
  • Nice! That right there is what I'd call a "Cream Puff". It looks like you've done quite a few upgrades.
  • Nice. It looks like you keep your 71 in good condition.

    Thanks for sharing.
