Couple years ago, I had a similar problem with my 08. Engine lost power and stopped. Felt like I was going up a really steep grade but I was on interstate in eastern ND. Had it towed to dealer. Plugged filter in exhaust system. Faulty sensor. Replaced under warranty. Not a problem since.
