I have a 2007.5 Dodge 6.7L CTD as well. Numerous emission systems problems in the 1st 2 years of ownership. Replaced the turbo twice due to soot clogging it up as well as many other fixes, reprogramming etc.
2007.5 was the first year for the 6.7L and its emissions system. There were a lot of growing pains with it, lots of buy backs etc. After the problems seem to be resolved with mine I opted to keep it and got Dodge to give me a 100K $0 deductible extended warranty. I've not had to use it and now have 75K. No fuel related issues.
