I don't do Wall Mart overnights ... ever... but I've also never heard of anyone doing an overnight in any kind of pop-up type camper either at Wall Marts, not even in a hi-lo, and never an A-liner. The goal with Wall Mart camping is to make it look like you are NOT camping. If you set up, you will get attention.
If you have any kind of camper that requires a set-up, I strongly suggest to work it in your plans to stay at KOA's for overnight hops.
Now, there may be some places where you can set up, depending upon your association. For example, American Legion parking lots, Church parking lots, Elks clubs, organizations like that. In that case, you'd be free to do so. But you'll need to work out an arrangement with them first. But Wall Marts ... nah!
