- APTExplorerI have a 6-cyl Outback and occasionally tow an open landscape trailer 6.5'x12' up to 2500 pounds. It does well so I would recommend it for towing any low walled RV. A-liner? I'm not sure. The 4-cyl technically has slightly higher tow rating due to same GCWE and lower curb weight, but I really didn't like highway power when not towing!
- IndyCampExplorerI don't know, but my parents towed a 2006 Aliner Scout with a 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan for 15,000 miles.
They towed that camper with that van (from 2011-2013) all over the country. They actually LIVED in the Aliner for six months out west during the winter of 2013/2014. - beemerphile1ExplorerI suppose some do tow with an Outback, need more info.
BTW, the manufacturer, Columbia Northwest, calls it an Aliner, not an A Liner. - coolmom42Explorer IICheck the exact tow rating of your specific vehicle. There are different versions of the Outback.
- LwiddisExplorer IISeems like you asked this twice.
