Ac covers for winter storage.
What is the general consensus on covering the ac units during the winter, or anytime it's in storage for that matter?

I had an old motorhome that lived it's whole life outside, I put new A/C units on in 2008, when we sold it in July, 2015, all you had to do was brush up against the A/C units, and the plastic would crumble. The UV does bad things to plastic, I think covering anything plastic on the roof would increase its longevity.
