ac delco 80 amp hour agm in my 2017 silverado
Okay I searched high and low for info on my battery in my new truck. It is a AC Delco 94r agm 80 amp hour. It states this right on the battery top. Now the question is, is this a deep cycle? It has a 80 amp hour rating. The trailer wiring is hot all the time from the truck so when I plug in my TC it is connected to the vehicle battery all the time. I am switching over to a 12 volt fridge so I am going to see how this works. I am hoping my 80 amp hour battery is somewhat of a deep cycle also. With the 200 amp solar I a hoping this will pan out. I also have a 105 amp hour agm battery in the truck camper.
I could not get a answer on the battery from anyone. Including Johnson controls all though they make the battery they said you have to contact AC Delco. Well tried that got no where. Then I called the dealer and asked what kind of battery it was they said it was not a AGM. Well it definitely is a AGM.
So this is the battery. ac delco 94r agm 80 amp hour
We only camp occasionally so I am not overly concerned with running the battery to low. I always have a jump starter and genny with in case that happens. If we camped a lot I would not go this route but I think this should work.
Any opinions on this battery?
Just curious if this would do better being deep cycled now and then than a regular flooded starting battery.
Thanks
Dave
