If it has an air intake blocked it could be icing up. I had this happen in Yellowstone a few years ago. Seems totally counter intuitive but try running the fan only for a while with the a/c off. If it is icing up then the warmer air going across the coils will thaw it out so you can start getting cooler air again. Same thing can happen if a duct is blocked, or it has been running continously for a few hours.
