I wonder if it is not going to cost more to repair and the parts are about the same why is there an increase in price for the aluminum version as has been stated many times.I also wonder which metal is more expensive to produce and which has higher environmental impact?Nothing against aluminum just the advertising about the use.So Ford is using the aluminum weight reduction to be more economical fuel wise,Ram and GM do as well if not better using less al.What will Ford do when and if Ram and GM also drop 700 lbs.adding to the already better fuel economy they have without it.Interesting subject to watch repairs etc.A better truck is good for all of us for sure.Insurance pays of course and the more expensive the claim the more the premiums go up.
