Curious and think know why, or should be why of this pic from that link
Assuming these are pop-rivets made of aluminum. Why the sign to keep
them?
Also assume the steel rod is cadmium plated to reduce the galvanic
action between the steel rod and aluminum body...but what about the
now exposed steel end of the break-away rod end?
This is the kind of stuff needed in the design phase. As this is
very important if these rivets are exposed to road salts
