I use a spacer for a year and had more wear and slop than I ever had with the regular 2" receiverv in my old truck. Luckily I could get a 2.5" shank from Curt that works well with my Equal-I-Zer with 1.25" hole spacing. And Equal-I-Zer makes one too. They weight ~10 lbs more but are worth it.
