Our lot is heavily shaded and of course we get our fair share of rain.I think our current cover is adco but just the basic version. I will say that this cover has provided good service for many years, but it's way beyond needing to be replaced.Anybody have experience with the Auqa Shed cover?Also, when we purchased our current cover many years ago, the only option was for a 22' - 24' length, which is a bit of a pain to have to handle that extra material when taking it on/off. Especially when I'm doing it by myself.Looks like I can now order a 20' 1" - 22' length which should fit much better. Even if I have to leave the propane tanks on the front and/or the spare tire on the rear uncovered for it to fit well I think it would be worth it. (both the spare and the propane tanks have individual covers already) For those of you who have covers and get the shorter length one, does it fit ok?Thanks

I'd go with the shorter cover. I have the adco aqua shield and its held up well. The roof part is water proof, but the sides are just water resistant and thinner.

I have no idea what is the best cover to use, it probably really doesn't matter as long as you install it without a lot of movement when the winds pick up. After all, do the full timers who live in them without covers dry up and delaminate faster than those who cover them ? If you desire to cover it : Some people use clothes baskets on the roof to add pitch to the cover as well as adding air space for better air flow.If you have rain gutters or other sharp edges, you can noodle them so you don't tear the cover (you'll more years of service out of it). Some people add additional rope tie-downs to limit the movement of the cover against the rv walls etc. A loose fitting cover can wipe the off the decals and strip paint. But, at the end of 10 or 15 years, all these RV's need to be cleaned and re-caulked through regular maintenance. Im not so sure the covered ones hold up any better. Inside storage might be a different animal.

Mine is a 2004 model and needs cleaned and re-caulked. Got a wintertime job to do.No cover in N Va.

I always stored our popups in my heated workshop but when we moved to a hybrid that wasn't possible so I rented indoor storage for the first winter. By far, that's the best solution but around here very costly so the following winter I invested in an ADCO AquaShed and it did just fine, even with heavy snow. We later upgraded to a travel trailer so I sold the AquaShed, bought an ADCO Tyvek cover for the TT, used it for several winters, and it too survived just fine. I later bought an ADCO Designer Series Tyvek cover for our current couple's trailer and after several winters it also survived fine. Last winter I lucked out with reasonably priced indoor storage so I sold the Designer series cover but if I ever needed one again I'd probably go with the less expensive AquaShed as it seemed to survive just as well as it's more expensive Tyvek counterparts.

I purchased the Aqua Shed last year for our 24' Terry and after a record snow winter we had it held up fine. I ordered the 22'-24' and it fit fine, still had a little room. We sold that trailer and bought a 26' Sunset Creek so I had to let the cover go with the old one but will buy another Aqua Shed for this trailer.

That's a good point and something I've been thinking about since two of the gutter spouts have come off this year, and I will not be replacing them in the short term as the trailer needs a new roof next year anyway.

Without downspouts on the end of the gutter, it's just the sharp end of the gutter exposed. If that makes any sense.

The 'noodle' you are talking about is the foam things?
