Your only Achilles heel is the fact that Pex is not suited for prolonged exposure to UV rays (sunlight). After a year or so it will get extremely brittle and lose all flexibility. To prolong your system, I suggest you cover that Pex with some kind of UV protectant. Foam pipe insulation might work and be the simplest to install.
