Standard opening is 14X14....same size for forward portion of A/C Unit (return air section where evap coil is and discharge plenum where fan wheel is)
Rest of A/C Unit (motor, condenser coil/fan) stick out the back
Roof vent is in the bedroom. Based on the link above it looks like I should room, but not lots of room!
