Adding ATF when you don't know what's in there

We had our transmission fluid flushed and replaced last spring and, being the non-mechanical idiot that I am, I didn't ask for detail as to what they filled it with. Since I didn't ask for synthetic,...

Save room in the storage bin....the 4L85E doesn't "use" fluid like the 8.1 uses oil....if it's not dripping now, it probably won't start on a road trip. If for whatever reason you wind up needing transmission fluid you will almost certainly need more than a quart....more like a tow truck :B
